>> My name is Wendy Burrell, and I'm a civil engineer at Michael Baker International. It's in Moon Township, just about half an hour away from here, and I'm a highway engineer mostly. I do highway design and railroad design, which involves everything that has to do with designing the roads and the railroads that are around anywhere. I do horizontal alignments, vertical alignments, cross sections, plan presentations, and then we, after all the design is done, we do a plan set, compile the plans for presentation to the clients, and we compute quantities, so that we can let the job to be bid by the contractors, and they know how much materials they need to order to build the entire job. Whenever we're really busy, sometimes I'll come in at 6 AM and put in overtime for the day, working with the plan sets, getting them all ready for the clients and presentation and everything like that. It's really not any different from a non-busy day, but it's just having to get it done a lot quicker because you have a deadline coming up.
