>> My name is Matt Killey [assumed spelling]. I'm an Admission Counselor at Rollins College. Always changing -- I mean there's -- we're always doing something new whether it's from day to day or throughout the year. But typically speaking, you know, we could be involved in anything from answering phone calls and emails in the office and helping students through the application process to introducing students to Rollins, telling them about Rollins, facilitating tours and information sessions, planning events for potential students and applicants -- you name it. Another big component to the job is travel. So, we do a lot of travel around the country depending on the individuals in the office. Some do travel around the world recruiting and spreading knowledge and awareness about the Rollins community. So, like I said, it's exciting. It's always something new depending on the day that you come into work. You never really know what to expect but that's -- I think the best part about it is that it keeps you on your toes. You know, communication skills are key and that goes back to the preparation that I got through International Business and really, I think consistently with any Liberal Arts education is going to prepare you for effective communication with others whether it be through writing, whether it be through speech, you name it. So, that's a pretty critical component as well. Another one that's a little less tangible is enthusiasm. I mean that's key to the job. You know, you can't speak to somebody about your experience and expect them to buy into it and get excited about it if you're not excited. So, I think that's really a prerequisite not only for the job coming in on day one but every day you come into the office. You got to bring that enthusiasm and that excitement with you.
